I'm building a new PC and I'm considering the MSI MAG B650 TOMAHAWK WIFI motherboard. I currently have a 5060ti GPU with 16GB of RAM and I heard that some B650 motherboards may support PCIe 5.0, even though most retailers indicate that they don't. Specifically, I want to know if this motherboard can provide x8 PCIe 5.0 for my GPU, or if it's just a rumor that it can only run at PCIe 4.0 speed. I'm planning for future upgrades in hopes of replacing the 5060ti when the new 60 or 70 series releases, so I want to avoid the limitations of PCIe 4.0.

Running your 5060ti on PCIe 4.0 is totally fine. The specs for the MSI MAG B650 TOMAHAWK WIFI indicate it only supports up to PCIe 4.0, which means it will be operating at x16 from the CPU, not PCIe 5.0. Check this page for the detailed specs: [MSI Specifications](https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/MAG-B650-TOMAHAWK-WIFI/Specification). You probably won't need PCIe 5.0 for your build right now.
That's tricky, though. Some boxes claim PCIe Gen 4 but say they have a bandwidth allowing for future updates. People mention possibly enabling PCIe Gen 5 in the BIOS, which just adds to the confusion. Has anyone actually tested it on a B650 board? I'd love to see some benchmarks!
