Hey everyone, I'm building a new PC and I want to transfer my NVMe M.2 SSD from my current AM4 motherboard to a new AM5 motherboard. Can I just unplug it and plug it into the new board, or is there something more I need to do?

Generally, you should be able to just unplug your NVMe SSD from the old motherboard and move it to the new one without any major issues. Just make sure it’s compatible with the new AM5 setup.
Just a heads up, if you plan to do a fresh install of your operating system, you'll need to back up your important files first because you'll be wiping the drive clean. Don't forget that part!
Got that covered, thanks for the reminder!
Once you've installed the SSD in the new motherboard, remember to visit the manufacturer's website to download all the necessary drivers for the new board. This includes chipset, LAN, audio, and any other drivers they offer to ensure everything runs smoothly.
Awesome, thanks for the info!
