Hey everyone! I'm a UK user looking to build a new PC since my old one is over a decade old and struggles with newer games. Here's the parts list I've compiled, and I'd greatly appreciate your feedback! I'm considering the AM5 platform for future-proofing and want a build that lasts since I won't be upgrading often. My goal isn't heavy gaming, but I do wish to tackle some newer titles at higher resolutions and possibly dive into VR with my PSVR2 and racing rig. I haven't included considerations for additional fans or thermal paste yet. I already have peripherals like a keyboard, mouse, monitors, and a headset. Thanks for any input! Here's my list:
- **CPU:** Ryzen 7 7800X3D - £323.99
- **Motherboard:** ASUS Prime B650-PLUS - £135.97
- **Cooler:** ARCTIC Liquid Freezer III 420 (Pro 360 A RGB) - £79.99
- **RAM:** Corsair Vengeance 32GB (2 x 16GB) CL30 DDR5-6000 - £101.18
- **SSD 1TB:** SK Hynix Platinum P41 - £69.99
- **SSD 2TB:** SK Hynix Platinum P41 - £119.99
- **Graphics:** Sapphire PULSE Radeon RX 7800 XT 16GB - £465.46
- **Case:** Lian Li O11 - £91.99
- **PSU:** Be Quiet! Pure Power 12 M 750W - £102.60
- **Total:** £1491.16

You might want to consider the RX 7800 XT as not the best option right now. There are better graphics cards available for that price range. I suggest looking at builds with something like the RX 9600X/5070 Ti as an alternative. It's important to optimize your GPU if you want this PC to last a while! Check out this list for some ideas: [PCPartPicker Link]
Absolutely prioritize the GPU! You should save on some of the less critical components and invest that into a stronger graphics card. For instance, you could look into this set-up which seems to balance power and cost better without compromising much, like going with a different cooler and motherboard to save some funds: [PCPartPicker Part List]
Thanks for sharing that! I didn't realize my original setup didn't format correctly. Which components in your list would you say provide better value? Is Micro ATX a better choice in general for space?
Thanks for the suggestion! I was under the impression the 7800 XT was solid based on some discussions. I'll definitely give the 5070 Ti a try!
