I'm deciding between a Cooler Master 240mm AIO and a Deepcool AK620 or other similar dual tower air coolers, all priced the same. My CPU is an i7-12700 paired with a GTX 3050, and my airflow isn't optimal right now, although I plan to add more fans later. Given that, should I go for an AIO for its cooling advantage, or are the dual tower air coolers a better option?

I have a Be Quiet Dark Rock TF, and it does a fantastic job! It's super quiet and effective, though it does block some RAM slots. But hey, it looks good and keeps the temps down! Just a note: taller air coolers can sometimes interfere with other components.
Honestly, either choice is great for cooling your CPU. Just be mindful of case compatibility, especially with air coolers that might be too tall. If you're worried about noise and aesthetics, the AIO might be the way to go!
I'm biased towards AIOs since they handle cooling better under load. If you use one for intake, it keeps the noise down, which is nice especially in cases with less airflow. They generally look nicer too. It's all about your preference, though—both types work well!
Air coolers like the AK620 are super reliable since they have fewer moving parts. They might cool things a few degrees warmer than an AIO, but they last longer. Plus, your CPU doesn't need a high-end cooler like the AIO; an air cooler will do just fine for the i7-12700. Just know that while AIOs look awesome, they can complicate things in the long run, especially if they fail.
I'd recommend the Peerless Assassin. It's a solid air cooler that performs really well. I've had a great experience with air coolers in general—just make sure it fits your case! And don't forget, the only part that might fail is the fan, which is easy to replace.
