Can I get a sanity check on my new PC rebuild plans?

I've broken my PC—check my thread about my PSU replacement mishap. This machine is crucial for us, and my partner wants it back up ASAP, so I need a quick rebuild. The old PC is going on the shelf for now, but it'll be rebuilt for our son later. I'm looking at Amazon for next-day delivery for parts and here's what I've come up with:
- A new Corsair case
- MSI Mag B650 Tomahawk motherboard
- Ryzen 7 7800x3d CPU with a Noctua NH-U12A heatsink
- Corsair Vengeance DDR5 (32GB total)

I already have a Corsair RM850x PSU, Radeon RX 6800 GPU, and I'll use my existing hard drives. Is this a solid plan, or do you think I can do better?

Your build looks good! The 7800x3d should perform nicely, but just make sure it's an OEM part and not a counterfeit—I've heard that can happen. Also, double-check that your motherboard and BIOS support that CPU and RAM. One tip: consider doing a driver-only install of AMD Adrenaline, as I ran into some major issues when switching to AMD until I did that. After that, everything ran smoothly!

I get overwhelmed building PCs about once every decade, so I'm just trying to double-check everything!

That CPU is pretty beefy for your GPU choice! If it were me, I might invest a little more in the GPU. But if you need parts tomorrow, it's a solid build. Just remember, the Microcenter near me has a deal on a 7600x3D bundle for $470 if that's an option for you later.

I can always upgrade the GPU down the line. Unfortunately, my nearest Microcenter is pretty far away, so I’m sticking with Amazon for now!
