Hey folks! I've got an Asus Tuf Gaming B760 Plus WiFi D4 motherboard, and right now I have a couple of SSDs installed: a 256GB for Windows and a 1TB for games. Since it's 2025, I've realized the 1TB SSD isn't cutting it anymore, so I've just picked up another 1TB Samsung 990 Evo Pro. My question is, will using all three SSD slots on my motherboard affect my PC's performance? I've read that it might take away bandwidth from the GPU or CPU. If that's true, why would they even include three slots for SSDs? Thanks for your help!

Actually, yes, it can affect performance. If you use all three M.2 slots, it might start using lanes from the PCIe, which could impact your GPU's performance during heavy tasks. But remember, not every setup is used primarily for gaming, which is why they give you the option for more SSDs.
You should be fine! Your motherboard's M.2 slots don't share lanes with the PCIe slots, so adding that third SSD shouldn't hinder performance at all.
Check your motherboard's specs. While many boards have independent M.2 slots, some might share lanes with PCIe. If you're gaming and using all M.2 slots, just watch out for any drop in GPU performance.
