I upgraded my processor to a Ryzen 7 5800XT on a Gigabyte A320M-S2H Rev. 1 motherboard and updated the BIOS from F51 to the newest available version. After the upgrade, the system only detects my NVMe drive; my SATA hard drive and SSD no longer appear. I've already reset the CMOS, installed the latest chipset drivers, loaded BIOS defaults, confirmed AHCI mode, and enabled CSM. I also reseated the SATA cables, but the drives are still missing. What else should I check?

Pay close attention to the SATA power connections and the power supply. If the supply is modular, only use cables made for that exact PSU model—modular cables are not interchangeable, even between brands or different models. An incompatible SATA power cable can damage multiple drives. A failing or overloaded PSU could also explain why the SATA devices disappeared, so testing with a known-good, properly cabled supply would be worthwhile.
The first thing I’d check is whether the SATA data or power cables were knocked loose while replacing the CPU. Reseat both ends of every cable and try different motherboard SATA ports if possible. Also check whether the drives appear in the BIOS, not just in Windows.
I reseated the SATA cables already. I’m also wondering whether my 600W power supply is enough, since a wattage calculator estimated roughly 600–699W.

I installed a Corsair 800W PSU, but now there’s no display. The CPU and GPU are receiving power, and I’m checking the cables and connections again.
