Several apps—including Instagram, Snapchat, a fitness app, and Discord—suddenly say they don't have permission to use my camera or photos. When I tap the button to open Settings, the usual permission options aren't listed at all. I'm still using iOS 18 and my phone is nearly out of storage, so I'm wondering whether that could be causing the problem. Has anyone found a fix? A soft restart eventually restored the permissions, but I'm not sure whether the issue is fully resolved.

This may also be an iOS permissions bug. Try installing the latest available update and restart afterward. If the problem keeps coming back, Reset All Settings can sometimes repair stuck permission controls, though it won’t delete your photos or apps. Make sure you have enough free storage before updating.
Check Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions. If restrictions are enabled, look under Allow Changes and make sure Camera and Photos aren’t set to “Don’t Allow.” Those restrictions can hide the permission toggles from individual app settings. After changing them, reopen the apps or restart the phone.
I’ll try freeing up space and updating first. I’m still on iOS 18, and the soft restart brought the camera and photo options back for now.
