I'm trying to create an AWS account to deploy a student project, but the signup process says my information is already associated with another account. I've tried using three different people's names, email addresses, and phone numbers, and as far as I know none of them have previously had AWS accounts. I also cleared the cache and tried different signup details, but the issue remains. I already opened a support case, though I've been waiting for an agent to respond. What is the proper way to resolve this, and are there legitimate student credits or promotional programs that could help cover deployment costs?

This message is usually tied to AWS’s account and payment verification systems, not just the browser or email address. Creating accounts with other people’s identities can also trigger additional fraud or duplicate-account checks, so it’s best not to keep trying with different personal details. Use your own information and contact AWS account or billing support through the official help center. Include the exact error, the email used, and any case number, but don’t post payment or identity documents publicly. Also, free-tier eligibility generally can’t be bypassed with promo codes; check official student programs, such as AWS Educate or credits offered through your school.
