I moved into a new apartment, and the internet service was installed today. The installer said to wait about 30 minutes, but neither my Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G nor my boyfriend's Samsung Galaxy A03 can connect to the Wi‑Fi. The phones report an incorrect password, even though the password has been checked several times. I also restarted the router and both phones, then forgot and re-added the network, but nothing changed. The router is connected to my computer by Ethernet and the internet works there. Its Power, PON, WLAN, and CATV lights are all on. What could be preventing the phones from connecting?

Since the Ethernet connection works but two different phones fail, the internet service itself is probably fine. If the correct wireless password is confirmed and both phones still reject it, the provider may need to check the Wi‑Fi configuration or reset the wireless password on the optical network terminal.
The most likely issue is that the wireless password is being entered incorrectly, especially if it came from a sticker or printed card. Check every character carefully—capital I, lowercase l, and the number 1 can look nearly identical. Also make sure you’re connecting to the exact network name shown on the router.
Use the password printed on the router’s own label rather than relying only on the setup card. Take a clear, zoomed-in photo of the sticker so the characters are easier to distinguish. Setup cards can occasionally be mixed up or contain outdated information.

If the label still doesn’t work, connect to the router from the computer and open its administration page. The wireless settings should show the current network name and password, or let you set a new one.
