I'm a 32-year-old developer from India and I'm working through The Odin Project's JavaScript and Node.js material along with Full Stack Open. If I finish both, could I realistically become an indie hacker without first doing an internship or taking a traditional developer job? Do these curricula provide enough knowledge to work independently, or would I still need significant practical experience and additional skills?

You don’t need a job to build and sell a product, but these courses mainly cover the technical foundation. They won’t teach you much about finding a problem people care about, validating an idea, marketing, sales, or customer support. Those business skills can easily make up most of the challenge in indie hacking.
Both curricula are solid starting points, but finishing them doesn’t automatically make you fully self-sufficient. They cover the surface of full-stack development, so you’ll still need to build several real projects, learn how to deploy and maintain them, understand security and product design, and get comfortable solving unfamiliar problems on your own. A job isn’t mandatory, but practical experience is.
