Can I challenge a denied refund for an accidental annual app subscription?

I accidentally signed up for an annual subscription and was charged $135 AUD after a two-day trial. I mistakenly thought the trial lasted a week, and I believed I would receive a notification before it ended. I requested a refund twice, but both requests were denied and I was told the decision was final. I do not plan to use the app, and as a full-time student I cannot comfortably absorb the charge. Is there any further way to dispute it or request a refund?

The important detail is that this was a two-day trial, not a week-long one. If you misunderstood the trial length, explain that specifically when contacting billing support rather than simply saying you did not intend to subscribe. Also cancel the subscription immediately so it cannot renew again. A card chargeback is risky because it could lead to restrictions on your account or future purchases.

If the refund has already been rejected twice as a final decision, there may not be another formal appeal route. It is still worth checking whether the app developer has a separate billing-support process, but they may not be able to override the store's refund decision. For the future, check the exact trial duration and subscription price before confirming, and set a reminder to cancel before the trial ends.

It was a two-day trial, but I read it as a week-long trial. I also thought I would get a notification one day before it ended, which is why I missed the cancellation deadline.

Unfortunately, two denied refund requests usually mean the decision is final. Subscriptions generally require several confirmation steps, including showing the price and renewal terms, so an accidental purchase may not qualify for an exception. You can try contacting support one more time and clearly explain the trial misunderstanding, but there is no guarantee they will reverse it.
