On a fresh Debian 13 installation, I have an old folder named `IncomingPics-TeraNews`. When I open folders in Dolphin, the folder name normally appears correctly in the title bar. However, this particular folder is displayed as `IncimngPics`—the `o` is missing and the `i` appears in the wrong place. Is there anything I can try to diagnose or fix this without filing a bug report?

I’m using KDE on Fedora and couldn’t reproduce it, so it may be specific to an older Dolphin version or something in that folder’s metadata. Updating Dolphin or KDE might resolve it.
Since the folder is very old, try temporarily renaming it to something simple, such as `TestFolder`, and then rename it back. A hidden Unicode, control, or otherwise unusual character in the original name could be confusing the display. It is a quick experiment and may clear up the problem.
Are you running Debian stable, or testing/unstable? If this is stable, Dolphin or KDE may be an older version, and the issue could already be fixed in a newer release. It is worth checking which version you have before assuming it is a current bug.
I’m assuming it’s the stable version, since that’s the one I downloaded.
