I have two SSDs: one contains SteamOS and the other contains Windows 11. I'd like the computer to show a boot menu at startup so I can choose which operating system to launch, rather than pressing F11 every time to select a drive. What is the best way to configure this?

If your SteamOS setup uses GRUB, boot into SteamOS and run `sudo update-grub`. That may detect the Windows installation and create a menu entry for it on the next reboot. If Windows is not found, OS-prober may need to be enabled first.
Install or configure a boot manager such as GRUB or Limine, then make its boot entry first in your firmware’s boot order. It should detect the Windows Boot Manager and add it as a selectable option. The exact steps depend on how SteamOS is installed and whether it uses GRUB.
You can also keep OS-prober disabled after detecting Windows by manually adding the Windows Boot Manager entry to GRUB’s custom configuration. That is a little more work, but avoids having the automatic detection scan other operating systems every time.
