Whenever my PC enters sleep mode, my Gigabyte monitor cycles through red, green, blue, and white screens and displays a burn-in test message. This started after a power outage shut down the PC unexpectedly. The computer otherwise works normally, and the behavior appears to come from the monitor rather than the PC. How can I stop this flashing test from running?

Since the PC is working normally and the pattern starts when the monitor goes to sleep, this is almost certainly a monitor diagnostic or burn-in test mode. Check the monitor’s on-screen menu for options such as Burn-in Test, Panel Test, Factory Test, or Aging Mode and disable it. You may need to look under System, Reset, or Other Settings.
Find the exact model number on the back of the monitor or in its on-screen information menu, then check the manual for instructions on exiting the test mode. A power outage may have triggered a factory diagnostic setting. If there is no visible menu option, try restoring the monitor to factory defaults, then unplug it for a few minutes before reconnecting it.
I’ve confirmed it’s the monitor, but I’m still having trouble finding the setting that controls the flashing. I’ll check the model-specific manual and try a factory reset.
