I'm getting ready to install an all-in-one liquid CPU cooler for the first time, and I'm worried about making a mistake or accidentally damaging a component. What helped you stay calm and avoid problems during your first PC installation? I'm considering mounting the radiator at the front because I'm not sure whether it will fit on top of my case. Any practical advice is welcome.

Take your time and follow the cooler’s manual closely. Before mounting the pump, remove the protective plastic from the cold plate and make sure the correct bracket and standoffs are installed. Tighten the pump screws gradually in an X pattern so the pressure spreads evenly instead of tightening one corner all at once.
Watch a couple of installation guides before starting, lay out the screws and parts, and keep the manual nearby. Go one step at a time, double-check each connection, and take a short break if you start feeling stressed. For a front radiator, confirm the radiator fits and, if possible, position the tubes at the bottom so air is less likely to collect in the pump.
A little resistance is normal, but start gently and increase pressure slowly. Keep the part aligned and avoid forcing anything at an angle. Check the case and cooler measurements beforehand, and look up a video showing your exact model if the instructions are unclear. It’s better to underestimate how much force is needed than to rush and break something.
I haven’t received the AIO yet, but I’ll probably mount the radiator in the front since I’m not sure it will fit on top.
