I'm installing a JGINYUE B650 Gaming Plus motherboard, but I don't have the manual. How can I identify the front-panel header pins for the power switch, reset switch, power LED, and drive LED? Are the pins or connector blocks color-coded?

The exact pin arrangement depends on the motherboard model, so identifying the board is important. Some headers also include extra pins or slightly different labeling, even though the common layout is similar. Color coding is not guaranteed—use the markings printed directly on the board rather than relying on wire colors.

Most modern motherboards use a standard 9-pin front-panel header layout, usually arranged as two rows with one position missing. The power switch, reset switch, power LED, and drive LED connect to specific pairs of pins. The switches generally work in either orientation, but LEDs must be connected with the positive and negative leads matched correctly. Check the tiny labels printed beside the header on the motherboard, and look for a pinout diagram for the JGINYUE B650 Gaming Plus if the labels are difficult to read.
