I'm putting together a new gaming PC in Ireland with a target budget of roughly €2,000. The plan is to add three reverse-blade fans as bottom intake, three more as side intake, the AIO fans as top exhaust, and one rear exhaust fan. I'm also considering a Lian Li Strimer Wireless 24-pin cable, a 12V-2x6 GPU cable, and an 8.8-inch universal screen. The visual design is important to me because I've never built a particularly polished-looking system, but I want to make sure the core components are sensible before spending heavily on aesthetics. The RTX 4070 Super would be carried over from my previous PC. What would you change or prioritize?

With a €2,000 ceiling, I’d decide on the core performance parts first and treat the lighting, display, cables, and extra fans as the final purchases. Since you’re reusing the RTX 4070 Super, putting more of the budget toward the platform could make sense—especially a Ryzen 7 7800X3D if this is primarily for gaming. Also make sure the power supply, cooling, and motherboard are appropriate before buying the cosmetic upgrades.
Don’t overlook storage while planning the build. Make sure you have enough NVMe capacity for your operating system and games before spending on the Strimer cables or screen. If the rest of the parts are flexible, prioritizing a strong gaming CPU such as the 7800X3D would generally give you more meaningful performance than adding more visual accessories.
That’s fair. I’m trying to stay under €2,000, but the 4070 Super is already coming from my old system. I know the aesthetics aren’t the best value, but having a really clean-looking build is a big part of why I’m upgrading.
