How can I recover my PC after applying too many system tweaks?

I ran a system-tweaking tool and selected almost every available tweak before applying them. Afterward, the taskbar disappeared and my wallpaper was blank, so I shut the computer down. Now the RGB lighting, keyboard, and mouse turn on, but the monitor shows no display. What troubleshooting steps should I try to get the computer working again?

Disconnect the boot drive temporarily and try starting the computer. If the firmware screen appears or you get a message such as “no boot device found,” the hardware is probably producing video and the problem may be Windows or the applied tweaks. If Windows eventually starts but remains unusable, an in-place repair or reinstall may be necessary.

Be cautious with all-in-one tweak and debloat scripts, especially when applying many changes at once. They can alter services, policies, drivers, or security settings in ways that are difficult to reverse. In the future, create a restore point or full backup first and apply changes individually so you can identify what caused a problem.

I did not create a restore point before running the tweaks, so I cannot use that recovery option.

If you can see Windows running but only have a blank desktop, try Ctrl+Shift+Esc to open Task Manager, then choose File > Run new task and launch explorer.exe. That can restore the taskbar and desktop long enough to undo the changes. If there is no display even before Windows loads, this shortcut will not help.

Start with the basics: check that the monitor has power, verify the display cable is firmly connected, and make sure the monitor is set to the correct input. If you still get no picture, clear the BIOS/UEFI settings according to your motherboard manual. Removing the CMOS battery may work on some systems, but follow the board's instructions if possible.
