How can I remove a Nintendo Switch cartridge stuck in my Wii’s disc drive?

The Wii itself is probably salvageable. The damage depends on whether the cartridge bent a guide, displaced a roller, or simply got stuck in the loading path. Removing the cartridge may be all that’s needed, but if the drive still clicks afterward, the drive assembly can usually be replaced with a compatible unit. A repair shop is the safest option if you’re not comfortable opening the console.

Unplug the Wii completely, then open the case and inspect the disc-drive mechanism. The drive is usually accessible once the outer shell is removed, and if the cartridge is still near the entrance, you may be able to ease it out without replacing the whole drive. Don’t keep pressing eject while it’s jammed, since that could strain the loading gears or rollers.

Since discs are being blocked almost immediately, the cartridge is probably close to the front of the mechanism rather than deeply lodged. After unplugging the console, you could carefully inspect the opening with a flashlight and use long tweezers only if you can clearly grip the cartridge. Avoid forcing it or poking around blindly, because the internal guides and rollers are easy to bend.

Because the console still runs USB Loader GX and digital channels, the main system is functioning; the problem appears limited to the optical drive. I’d stop inserting discs until the cartridge is removed, disconnect all cables, and either follow a video teardown carefully or have an electronics repair technician handle it.
