I have a Haier S80 Google TV and would like to add an external woofer or subwoofer while keeping the TV's built-in speakers active. The TV supports Bluetooth, AUX, HDMI eARC, and has a headphone output. Is there a way to configure one of these connections so both the internal speakers and the external speaker work at the same time?

First check the TV’s sound settings for an option such as “TV Speaker + External Speaker,” “Simultaneous Output,” or “Bluetooth and TV Speaker.” If that option isn’t available, Bluetooth or the headphone jack will often disable the built-in speakers, and Bluetooth may also introduce noticeable audio delay. HDMI eARC is usually intended for a soundbar or AV receiver rather than a standalone woofer, so the external device needs to support the appropriate audio input and bass management.
If the TV has HDMI eARC output, connect it to an AV receiver, soundbar, or subwoofer system that supports eARC and can drive the main speakers as well as the subwoofer. A basic powered subwoofer generally cannot connect directly to eARC. Avoid opening or modifying the TV’s speaker wiring unless you have the proper electronics experience, since the speaker outputs can damage line-level equipment or the TV.
The TV does have HDMI eARC and a headphone jack, so I’ll check whether its audio menu allows the internal speakers to remain enabled while using an external output.
