I'm moving soon and will be transporting my desktop computer in the car. What should I remove or pack separately to prevent components from being damaged? I was thinking of filling the case with clothes, but I'm not sure about the graphics card, CPU cooler, RAM, or storage drives.

Remove the graphics card before transporting it, since its weight can put stress on the motherboard slot. If you have a large tower-style air cooler, remove that as well. Pack both separately with proper padding.
For extra protection, remove the RAM and any mechanical hard drives too. Wrap hard drives individually in bubble wrap, and keep all loose components secure so they cannot bounce around.
If you still have the original case box and foam inserts, use them. Otherwise, place the computer on its side with the motherboard facing upward, pad it so it cannot slide around, and use clean, non-shedding clothes only to gently support the inside. Avoid tightly stuffing the case.
