I found an old hard drive that I want to use for extra storage. It seems to be functioning well, but it has some old files and a version of Windows installed on it. I would like to completely format the hard drive, but I'm having trouble doing so because of the existing Windows installation. What steps can I take to format this drive?

If the hard drive isn't the one you're booting from, go to Disk Management, locate the drive and its partitions (just be cautious not to confuse it with other drives), and delete the partitions one by one. After that, you can create new ones—super straightforward!

The drive is partitioned into two: I can delete one but the one with Windows installed doesn’t allow it. Any tips on that?
