How to Migrate Emails from GoDaddy to Microsoft 365?

I'm trying to migrate email accounts from my GoDaddy domain where I purchased Microsoft 365, over to a standalone Microsoft 365 setup. I want to keep my domain with GoDaddy and need some guidance on how to achieve this. I've read conflicting advice online about deleting the GoDaddy domain, but that's not an option for me. Any tips or help would be greatly appreciated!

If you're up for a bit of a challenge, you could consider doing a manual migration. It might involve some cross-tenant licensing as well. Check out Microsoft's official documentation for tenant-to-tenant migrations; it's super helpful.

You can definitely migrate your email without losing your domain on GoDaddy. You just need to update the MX, SPF, and TXT records to point to your Microsoft 365 tenant. It's a straightforward process, but double-check the settings once you update them!

You can also find some detailed instructions for defederating from GoDaddy while keeping your domain. Here's a helpful link—it's worth a look! [Defederating GoDaddy 365](https://tminus365.com/defederating-godaddy-365/)

The easiest way is to call GoDaddy and have them manage the migration for you. They can schedule it for you, and it simplifies everything a lot compared to older methods. Just make sure to do it during their business hours so you get the help you need.
