iPhone 15 stopped ringing after updating to iOS 26.6

Since installing iOS 26.6, my iPhone 15 hasn't rung for any incoming calls. It isn't on Silent or Do Not Disturb, and calls don't appear to come through at all—they only show up later as missed calls. I've tried changing call announcements and switching between full-screen and other call display options, but nothing has helped. How can I get normal incoming call ringing working again?

First, check whether iOS 26.6.1 is available and install it if so. Then go to the sound settings and tap the selected ringtone to make sure it actually plays and that the ringtone volume is turned up. It’s also worth confirming whether regular SMS notifications are arriving, since that can help determine whether this is a broader notification issue.

I checked the settings and tried updating again, but the phone still doesn’t ring. Calls continue to appear only afterward in the missed-call list.

Open Settings > Apps > Phone and check that call screening or call filtering isn’t enabled. Those features can prevent some calls from ringing normally. After checking, perform a forced restart rather than just turning the phone off and back on.
