I'm building my first gaming PC around a Ryzen 5 7600 and plan to play at 1080p with optimized settings. For the graphics card, I'm deciding between an RTX 5060 8GB for about $400 and an RX 9060 XT 16GB for around $500, although recent price increases have made the budget tight. I'm comparing a Kingston Fury Beast DDR5-5600 CL40 16GB kit for $200 with a non-RGB Corsair Vengeance DDR5-6000 CL36 16GB kit for $220. Is the faster Corsair memory worth the extra $20, or would the Kingston kit be sufficient?

The RX 9060 XT 16GB would be the stronger long-term graphics card for higher settings and newer games, but the price difference matters. If the RTX 5060 is the only way to stay within budget, it can still work well for 1080p with optimized settings. For the memory, choose the Corsair kit if the extra $20 is manageable; otherwise, the Kingston kit will still run the system normally.
The DDR5-6000 CL36 kit is faster and is generally the more suitable option for a Ryzen 7000 system. The difference probably won’t transform gaming performance, especially when limited by the graphics card, but $20 is a reasonable premium if it doesn’t force you to downgrade another important component. Make sure the Corsair kit is a matched 2-stick kit and supports an EXPO profile.
If the prices were identical, the Corsair DDR5-6000 CL36 kit would be the better choice. It offers higher speed and lower latency, which is a good match for the Ryzen 5 7600. For only $20 more, I’d still lean toward the Corsair kit as long as both kits have similar capacity and timings beyond the advertised numbers.
