You should be fine. If Windows had already shut down and the fans had stopped, cutting power at the strip is generally harmless. The PSU switch or power strip only controls whether the computer can receive standby power; it doesn’t damage the hardware when the system is already off.
A properly shut-down computer doesn’t need the PSU switch turned off. Consider a quality surge protector, and if your home has frequent outages or voltage fluctuations, a modest UPS can give you time to shut down safely. Brief outages followed by rapid power restoration can be harder on equipment than simply switching off a strip.
The main risk from cutting power is doing it while the operating system is running, saving files, installing updates, or flashing the BIOS. That can potentially corrupt data or interrupt the update, but it normally won’t physically harm the components. Avoid making a habit of it when the PC is active.
