Your applications are mostly available on Linux. Google Meet, Zoom, and JASP should work, while Microsoft Office may require the web versions or alternatives such as LibreOffice or OnlyOffice. It’s best to test everything with a live USB session first, then consider installing it alongside Windows if the hardware and software work properly.
Don’t rush into choosing a distribution just because it claims to be lightweight. Look at a few established beginner-friendly options, try them from a live USB without changing your drive, and make sure your Wi-Fi, graphics, audio, webcam, school software, and games work. Testing step by step is much safer than immediately replacing your current operating system.
