I'm considering buying the LG UltraGear 32GX870A-B, but PB Tech's price is around A$1,400 while most other retailers seem to list it for more than A$2,200. That huge difference makes me cautious. The store appears to have a generally good reputation, but I'm especially interested in recent experiences with its reliability, warranty handling, and returns in Australia. Could the price also be affected by the listing being in New Zealand dollars rather than Australian dollars?

PB Tech is one of New Zealand’s biggest computer retailers and is generally considered a legitimate, established business. The low price by itself isn’t necessarily suspicious, although it’s worth checking whether the listing is in NZD and confirming the exact Australian warranty and return terms before ordering.
Make sure you compare the currencies properly. A price shown in NZD will convert to a different Australian-dollar amount, and shipping, GST, warranty coverage, and return arrangements can also affect the final cost. I’d save a copy of the product page and read the local warranty policy carefully before buying.
Before committing, it may also be worth comparing this display with the Alienware, MSI, and Samsung Odyssey G8 32-inch 4K OLED options. They can differ quite a bit in panel features, firmware, connectivity, and warranty support, so the cheapest listing isn’t automatically the best overall deal.
That’s reassuring. I’ll double-check the currency and warranty details before placing the order. It’s still wild seeing such a big gap compared with other retailers.
