I'm being quoted 2.5 lakh INR, roughly $2,622, for this new gaming PC and would like a second opinion on the value. The build includes an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, Radeon RX 9070 XT 16GB, MSI MAG B850 Tomahawk WiFi motherboard, Corsair Nautilus 360 RS LCD Black cooler, 32GB of G.Skill Flare X5 DDR5-6000 CL36 memory with AMD EXPO, a Crucial P3 Plus 1TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD, an MSI MAG A850GL PCIe 5 ATX 3.1 80+ Gold power supply, and a Lian Li V100 mid-tower case. I'm planning to keep this exact system for more than five years, so I'd rather not downgrade components or buy used hardware. I may add a 2TB SSD later. Does this seem like a reasonable price for the performance and parts, especially given local pricing?

That’s a very powerful gaming system, and the price doesn’t look unreasonable for a complete new build in your market. The 9800X3D and RX 9070 XT make a strong combination, and it should handle high-refresh-rate 1440p gaming very well for years. If you’re committed to buying new and keeping the system long term, this looks more like a solid deal than an obvious rip-off.
As a rough comparison, pricing the same parts through major US retailers came to a little over $2,200, even after adding a comparable liquid cooler. Once you account for regional pricing, import costs, taxes, and availability, paying about $2,622 locally doesn’t seem unusually high. I’d mainly verify the exact warranty coverage and make sure the included cooler and case airflow are adequate before ordering.
That was my first impression too, but I’ve seen people say the build isn’t worth around $2,600, which made me second-guess it. I’m trying to figure out whether the local pricing justifies the premium.
