I'm planning a gaming PC focused on 1440p performance with a budget of roughly $1,300–$1,400. The current parts list uses a Ryzen 5 7600X, an AM5 motherboard, 16GB of DDR5 memory, a 1TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD, and a Radeon RX 9060 XT 16GB, along with a 650W power supply. I'm fine starting with 16GB of RAM and adding another stick later, but I'd like to know whether the build is balanced and if there are better-value part choices before I start purchasing. I don't have access to a nearby Micro Center, so suggestions should use generally available pricing and retailers.

You can fit 32GB into the budget immediately, although I’d change the motherboard. That particular entry-level board has raised concerns about power delivery and future CPU upgrades, so spending a little more on a stronger B650 board would be safer. The Ryzen 5 7600X, 32GB of DDR5-6000, and the rest of the parts make sense for a midrange 1440p system.
The overall build looks reasonable, but check whether any local retailers have CPU, motherboard, and memory bundles. A bundle could get you 32GB of RAM and a newer processor for around the same money. If the budget has room, a Radeon RX 9070 GRE would also be a worthwhile upgrade over the RX 9060 XT and should provide a noticeable improvement at 1440p.
For a 1440p build, you don’t need an especially expensive CPU with a graphics card in this performance range. Anything around a Ryzen 5 5600 or better should be sufficient in most games, so the GPU is the part that matters more. I’d prioritize 32GB of memory and the strongest graphics card you can afford today rather than paying extra solely for future AM5 upgrades. One alternative is to use a Ryzen 5 14400F-class processor, 32GB of DDR4, and put the savings toward a faster GPU such as the RX 9070 GRE. That approach gives better immediate gaming performance, though it offers less upgrade flexibility than AM5.
There are also combo discounts that can reduce the cost of the CPU, motherboard, RAM, SSD, and power supply. If you plan to add memory soon, buying a matched 2x16GB kit now is preferable to starting with one 16GB stick, since mixed or separately purchased modules can sometimes make memory compatibility and stability more difficult. A single stick will also reduce memory bandwidth in the meantime.
