My previous PC was a prebuilt system that gave me constant problems, so I'm planning to build a custom PC this time. I'd appreciate some advice on whether these parts are a good value, suitable for sim racing and other demanding games, and easy to upgrade later. The planned system includes a be quiet! Light Base 600 LX case, Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor, Gigabyte B850 AORUS Elite WIFI7 motherboard, RX 9070 XT 16GB graphics card, 32GB DDR5-6000 memory with CL38 latency, a Corsair Nautilus 360mm liquid cooler, 2TB WD Black SN7100 NVMe SSD, and a modular 1000W Corsair RMx power supply. I especially want to avoid reliability issues and make sure the cooling and airflow are configured properly.

This is a very strong gaming build and should be excellent for sim racing and other demanding titles. The 9800X3D is especially well suited to high frame rates. For easier future upgrades, consider 64GB of RAM if you run heavily modded games, streaming software, or multiple applications, although 32GB is still fine for gaming today. If possible, DDR5-6000 with CL30 or CL32 would be preferable to CL38, assuming the price difference is reasonable.
The 1000W power supply is more than this system needs; a high-quality 850W model should comfortably handle the 9800X3D and RX 9070 XT. Keeping the 1000W unit is not harmful, though, and gives you extra headroom for a future higher-end graphics card. The 360mm liquid cooler is also unnecessary for the 9800X3D. A good tower air cooler would cost less and usually be simpler and more reliable. You could also save money with a less expensive motherboard or SSD, provided they still have the features you need.
An inverted layout places the motherboard and graphics card on the opposite side of the case from the usual arrangement. It can slightly change airflow and temperatures, but it is not automatically a problem. With a top-mounted radiator exhausting warm air, bottom fans bringing in cool air, side intake fans, and the rear fan exhausting, your proposed layout should be sensible. Check the case manual for the recommended fan direction and make sure the bottom intake has a clean dust filter.
What does the inverted configuration mean for the case? I’m planning to mount the radiator at the top, with three fans underneath, three on the side, and one at the rear. I mainly want to make sure the airflow and temperatures are right after having such a bad experience with my previous PC.
