I'm thinking about upgrading my graphics card from a 4060 Ti to either a 3080 or 3080 Ti, depending on what I can find for a good price. GPU prices are pretty high right now, so I want to make sure this upgrade is actually worth it. My current setup has a Ryzen 5 7400F, and I'm unsure if that's going to bottleneck my performance. This is my first build, as I'm taking the 4060 Ti out of a prebuilt system. I would appreciate any advice on whether to go for the upgrade or if there are better alternatives from Nvidia.

Make sure to check your power supply! You’ll need at least a 750W PSU for the 3080 and around 850W for the 3080 Ti. Also, keep in mind that while you will get a nice performance boost and more VRAM, the power consumption and heat output will be much higher with these cards.
You will definitely see an improvement with either of those cards! But I would suggest considering saving up for something even newer like the 40 series if you're willing to wait. Just make sure your PSU is up to the task if you do go for the 3080 or 3080 Ti!
Thanks for the heads up! I’ll definitely keep that in mind while making my decision.

Wow, I didn't realize the power requirements were that high! Guess I need to factor that into the budget.
