Is upgrading from DDR5-5600 CL40 to 6000 CL30 worth it?

I'm running a Ryzen 5 9600X with a Radeon 9070 XT and DDR5-5600 CL40 memory. Performance is already good, but I'm wondering how much performance I'm losing because of the relatively slow RAM. Would switching to a 6000 CL30 kit produce a noticeable real-world improvement, or would the gains mostly be limited to benchmarks? I'm also curious whether moving to an X3D processor would reduce the impact of slower memory. For reference, my current system scores about 11.7 seconds in PyPrime.

You’re leaving some performance on the table, but probably not enough to justify replacing a working kit on its own. Keep the current CPU and memory unless you’re specifically chasing higher CPU-limited frame rates.

Before buying anything, you could disable the memory overclocking profile and test a lower speed. If you can’t feel or measure a meaningful difference in the games you actually play, upgrading the RAM probably isn’t worthwhile.

A 6000 MT/s kit with tighter timings is a better match for AM5, but the upgrade is more valuable on a regular Ryzen processor than on an X3D model. If you eventually move to X3D, the slower memory will be less of a drawback.
