However, when I connect the laptop to the extender, Windows says "No internet, secured." I've already reset both the extender and my laptop's network settings, but the laptop still can't access the internet through the extender. What should I check next?

Restart the main router, extender, and laptop in that order. After the router is fully back online, let the extender reconnect before testing the laptop again. Also make sure the extender is configured in range of the main router and is using the same security mode and password rather than acting like a separate, incorrectly configured network.
Open Command Prompt and run `ipconfig` while connected to the extender. Check whether the laptop received a valid IPv4 address, default gateway, and DNS server. If the address starts with 169.254, the extender isn’t giving the laptop a proper DHCP lease. Forget the extender’s Wi‑Fi network, reconnect, and compare the output with what you get when connected directly to the main router.
