Laptop Says It’s Connected, but No Websites Load on Any Network

My MSI GF75 Thin running Windows 11 suddenly stopped loading websites. Windows says the laptop is connected and secured, but the problem happens on my home Wi‑Fi, my phone's hotspot, and a wired connection from the router. I restarted the laptop and network equipment, forgot and reconnected to Wi‑Fi, and performed a Windows network reset, but nothing changed. Other computers and my phone can access the internet normally, and there are no recent Windows updates listed. I've tried both Edge and Chrome, and neither browser loads sites. What should I check next?

Try testing connectivity outside the browsers by opening Command Prompt and pinging an external address, such as 8.8.8.8 or google.com. That can help determine whether the issue is the internet connection itself or something specific to the browsers.

I tested Google and got 0% packet loss, so the laptop can reach it even though the browsers still won’t load websites.

Since both Edge and Chrome behave the same way, it probably isn’t just one browser. A successful ping suggests the network connection is working, so I’d next check Windows proxy settings, VPN or security software, and whether a firewall is blocking browser traffic.
