Microsoft Store won’t open after repeated 0x80073CFE errors

I've been unable to download the Minecraft Launcher because the Microsoft Store has shown error code 0x80073CFE for months. My brother and I think something may have become corrupted when we moved the drives to another computer. I've tried SFC, DISM, restarting the PC, and repairing or resetting the Store app, but nothing helped. I also followed a tutorial that instructed me to delete certain files, and now the Microsoft Store will not open at all. The app settings no longer even show repair or reset options. Is there anything else I can try before reinstalling Windows?

Check Event Viewer for an error related to the Microsoft Store or AppX deployment. It may reveal what is preventing the app from launching, although if double-clicking the Store icon does absolutely nothing, the installation may be seriously damaged.

I checked, but I don’t think anything appeared. Double-clicking the Store icon still does nothing.

Moving an existing Windows installation between different computers can cause system and Store components to become inconsistent. Back up your important files, then consider a clean Windows installation after confirming you have the necessary product and driver information. It is inconvenient, especially with multiple people using the computer, but it is the most reliable way to clear persistent system corruption and may improve overall performance.

Several people use this computer for all kinds of things, so I’m not even sure where to begin. Is there really no other fix I can try first?
