My iPad screen is cracked but still works—can AppleCare+ cover the repair?

I bought my iPad about two months ago, and yesterday it fell from my younger brother's hand and cracked the display. Everything still works, but I'd like to have the screen replaced. My AppleCare+ eligibility period is still active. Should I pay the AppleCare+ accidental-damage fee and submit it for repair, or could the damage be rejected?

You can submit an AppleCare+ repair request, but be honest that the screen is already cracked. AppleCare+ usually covers accidental damage for a service fee, though approval and the exact cost depend on your plan and the device’s condition. There’s no way to guarantee they’ll approve it, so check your coverage terms or contact Apple Support before sending it in.

That makes sense—I was mainly wondering whether it was worth filing a claim. I’ll disclose the damage and check the accidental-damage fee first.
