My RTX 4070 Ti Super recently stopped working, and I'm trying to figure out the best replacement or comparable upgrade. I'd like performance at 1440p to be at least as good as what I had, but I also don't want to spend an unreasonable amount since the original card cost me $799. I'm especially frustrated because of current GPU pricing. Should I pursue a warranty replacement, or consider another card instead?

For a reasonably priced replacement, the Radeon 9070 XT looks like the strongest side-grade or modest upgrade. The regular 9070 is also worth considering if it’s substantially cheaper, and both should be well suited to 1440p gaming.
A used GPU is another possibility if the warranty claim fails. Check local pricing carefully—occasionally RTX 5070 Ti cards show up around $650, which could make one a better value than buying new at inflated prices.
Before buying anything, check the warranty. If the card is less than three years old, it may still be covered, which would be much better than paying for another GPU. Contact the manufacturer or retailer and start an RMA, even if you’re worried support might be difficult.
If you want to stay with Nvidia, the RTX 5070 Ti is the closest option to consider, although pricing matters a lot. A regular RTX 5070 could make sense if you find one at a good price, but I wouldn’t pay a huge premium over the performance you already had.
