New 34-inch curved monitor has a faint vertical line—should I return it?

I bought a 34-inch curved display yesterday, and it already has a faint line running vertically down the center of the screen. Is there anything I can try to fix it, or is this likely a defective panel that should be returned? I got it about $60 below retail, but the model is currently sold out.

Unfortunately, a persistent vertical line usually isn’t something you can fix with settings or a different cable. Since the display is new, the safest option is to use the return or warranty process, even if getting a replacement is inconvenient.

That’s what I was afraid of. I got it for around $60 under retail, and it’s sold out now, so I was hoping there might be another fix.

That sounds like a panel defect, especially since it appeared so soon after purchase. I’d return or exchange the monitor rather than trying to repair it yourself. Take a few clear photos showing the line and contact the retailer as soon as possible.
