Rainbow Six Siege Black-Screens and Crashes Every Few Minutes

Rainbow Six Siege repeatedly crashes in the middle of rounds every 5–10 minutes. Both monitors suddenly go black, the game closes without showing an error, and I can reconnect afterward. My PC is comfortably above the minimum requirements. I have already reinstalled the game, updated all drivers, verified the files, capped the frame rate, and lowered the graphics settings, but nothing has helped. The problem only appears to happen in Siege, so I'm looking for ideas on what else I should test.

Since reinstalling and lowering settings didn’t change anything, try switching the game between its different rendering modes, such as DirectX 11 and Vulkan, if both are available. Also remove any GPU overclock, including automatic profiles, and test with a completely stock configuration. If the entire display signal drops rather than only the game freezing, don’t completely rule out the graphics card, power supply, cable, or monitor connection.

A black screen can still point to a graphics driver or GPU issue even if the computer is fairly new and other games seem fine. Check GPU and CPU temperatures while playing, disable overlays such as the game launcher, Discord, and graphics software, and try a clean graphics-driver installation. It’s also worth checking Windows Event Viewer for display-driver or hardware errors around the time of each crash.
