My Realme 11 Pro+ has had a broken volume button for about nine months. Since then, the volume has occasionally changed by itself, but today the phone ran out of charge and now enters recovery mode every time I try to start it. I suspect the damaged volume-down switch is stuck and being detected as held during startup. The button only seems to respond while entering recovery mode and does nothing in the recovery menu. I've tried restarting with the power and volume buttons several times, but it still loops. I urgently need access to a pickup code stored on the phone. What can I try to get it working again?

If the recovery screen is touch-enabled, tap the reboot option rather than relying on the volume keys. However, if the phone immediately returns to recovery, the stuck hardware switch is still the most likely cause. Avoid repeatedly forcing the buttons, since that can damage the internal switch or frame further.
The damaged volume-down switch is probably stuck, making the phone think the button is held while booting. Charge it for 20–30 minutes, then try holding only the power button for around 15–20 seconds. If the broken button piece is pressing the switch, gently move or remove the loose plastic without forcing anything inside the phone. Don’t pour grain alcohol or other liquid into it; if cleaning is attempted, use only a very small amount of electronics-safe isopropyl alcohol with the phone powered off, and let it fully evaporate. Since the button has now broken further and the other steps did not help, a repair shop will likely need to replace or disconnect the damaged switch. For the package, try retrieving the code from your account on another device or ask the carrier whether they can verify you using identification and the tracking details.
