RTX 5060 Ti 16GB or RTX 5070 12GB for gaming, AI, programming, and Blender?

The RTX 5060 Ti 16GB and RTX 5070 12GB are only about $80 apart where I live. I'm mainly concerned about whether the 5070's extra performance is more valuable than the 5060 Ti's additional 4GB of VRAM. I'll use the card for gaming, AI/ML development, programming, and some Blender and 3D work. Would you choose the faster RTX 5070, or is the 16GB model a better choice for AI, rendering, and future-proofing?

For mostly gaming, the RTX 5070 is the clear choice. It has substantially more compute performance, and the extra $80 is worthwhile. The 5060 Ti’s 16GB of VRAM doesn’t automatically make it faster, especially in games where the card may run out of GPU power before the memory becomes useful. The 5070 should also be noticeably faster in Blender for workloads that fit within 12GB.

I’d decide based on your priorities: get the RTX 5070 if gaming is the main use and you plan to upgrade again in a few years; choose the 5060 Ti 16GB if AI/ML and larger Blender projects are important and you tend to keep cards for a long time. For a mixed-use system with gaming as the priority and only occasional AI or 3D work, I’d personally spend the extra $80 on the RTX 5070.

VRAM capacity can be a hard limit: if a model or scene does not fit in 12GB, it may need to spill into system memory and become dramatically slower.
