I'm in the UK and have a budget of about £350 for something to game on by myself and occasionally with my brother. I mainly want to play EA Sports FC, Minecraft, and NBA 2K. Would a used PS5 be the better choice, or is it realistic to find or build a gaming PC for this budget?

A used PS5 is probably the safest option at £350. It should run those games well, and you won’t have to spend time checking old PC parts or upgrading anything. It’s also a straightforward choice for playing with your brother.
A used PC is possible, but it probably won’t match a PS5 for gaming performance at this price. You may find an older system with something like a GTX 1060 or RTX 2060, but you’ll need to research the parts carefully and expect to lower settings in newer games or when playing at 4K.
If you can save a bit more, a refurbished or used gaming PC could give you more flexibility, including free game libraries, mods, and no console online subscription. It can also be used for school, work, or streaming.
