Should I Choose the RX 9060 XT 16GB or RTX 5060 Ti 8GB for 1080p Gaming?

I'm planning to buy a graphics card for around €560 and I'm deciding between the RTX 5060 Ti with 8GB of VRAM and the RX 9060 XT with 16GB. My processor is an AMD Ryzen 5 5600GT, and I'll mainly be gaming at 1080p. I'm not especially concerned about DLSS or frame generation—I mostly want smooth performance across current games without running into VRAM problems. Which card offers the better value, and would it be smarter to buy now or wait for Black Friday? Also, if I choose the RX 9060 XT, is a two-fan or three-fan model preferable?

The RX 9060 XT is the clear pick based on the current pricing. The extra VRAM should give it better longevity, and your Ryzen 5 5600GT should be a reasonable pairing for 1080p gaming. A three-fan model may run cooler and quieter, but a good two-fan card is fine if it has a decent cooler and costs noticeably less.

For gaming at these prices, the RX 9060 XT 16GB is the stronger choice. It offers more VRAM and is generally the better value for straightforward 1080p performance, especially since you aren’t prioritizing DLSS or frame generation.

That makes sense. Would you go with a two-fan or three-fan version of the card?

Some regions occasionally have RTX 5070-class cards close to this budget during promotions, so it may be worth comparing local deals. However, if those models are significantly more expensive in your area, the RX 9060 XT 16GB remains the sensible purchase.

If you’re not in a hurry, it’s worth checking prices regularly for a week or two. A sale could reveal a stronger upgrade, but there’s no guarantee that Black Friday will bring a major discount, so I wouldn’t delay a good deal solely on the hope of lower prices.

I’d be happy as long as everything runs smoothly, and higher-end cards are much more expensive where I live, so the RX 9060 XT seems like the realistic option.
