I'm choosing between two PCs that cost the same: one has a Ryzen 5 9600X with an RTX 5060 Ti 16GB triple-fan card, while the other has a Ryzen 7 9700X with the same RTX 5060 Ti 16GB in a dual-fan design. I mainly want to run AI models and LLMs, build useful AI/ML projects, and work with After Effects and Blender. Gaming is also important, and I'd like the system to handle future games smoothly. Which configuration makes more sense?

The dual-fan versus triple-fan design should not be the deciding factor here. Check the card’s actual cooler quality, temperatures, noise, length, and thickness instead. A triple-fan card may run a little cooler or quieter, but it won’t turn the 5060 Ti into a faster graphics card. Also make sure your case has good airflow.
Since AI is your main priority, Nvidia is generally the safer choice because CUDA and related software support are much broader than AMD support. The 16GB of VRAM is helpful, but it still limits the size of local models you can run. If you can find an eight-core Ryzen 7 7700 or a similar processor for around the same price, that could also be worth considering, but between these two options I’d choose the 9700X.
Go with the Ryzen 7 9700X and the dual-fan 5060 Ti. Both graphics cards use the same GPU, so the extra fan usually won’t make a major performance difference. The 9700X’s additional cores will be more useful for AI/ML workloads, rendering, Blender, After Effects, multitasking, and other CPU-heavy work.

Gaming is secondary for me, so the extra CPU cores and better productivity performance sound more useful than the additional GPU fan.
