I'm considering upgrading my monitor. Currently, I have a 4060 Ti and I mainly play cinematic games, but I sometimes dive into competitive ones too. My current monitor supports up to 164.87 Hz at a 1920 x 1080 resolution, but it drops to 60 Hz at 3840 x 2160. I'm looking for advice on whether an upgrade is necessary and what monitors would be best suited for my setup.

Wow, your monitor actually adjusts the refresh rate based on the resolution? That's interesting! You might want to consider a 1440p monitor with a refresh rate of 144Hz or 165Hz. It would really enhance your cinematic game graphics while also being great for competitive gameplay. Getting a 4K monitor might not be the best choice, as it could limit your frame rate to 60 FPS and sacrifice graphics quality.
What do you want to achieve with this upgrade, though? Are you after better visuals or just a smoother gameplay experience?
I'm looking for better graphics and a higher refresh rate.
Are you sure you're using a good DisplayPort cable? Sometimes, HDMI standards can limit performance. It could be worth checking your cable quality.
I have a "Vinosini" HDMI cable, but I couldn't find info on it, so I'm not sure about its quality.

Thanks for the tip!
