I'm looking to upgrade from my Ryzen 5 5600X because some CPU-heavy games, especially titles affected by Denuvo, aren't performing as well as I'd like. I'm deciding between an Intel Core i5-14600K setup and a Core Ultra 250K bundle. The 14600K option would let me keep my existing 32GB of DDR4 and would require buying only the CPU, motherboard, and cooler. The Core Ultra bundle includes a motherboard and 32GB of DDR5, but no cooler. Since the bundle effectively includes the memory alongside the processor and motherboard, which option would make more sense for long-term use?

Before upgrading, make sure the 5600X is actually the limiting factor in the games you play. A CPU upgrade can help with CPU-bound titles and improve minimum frame rates, but checking CPU and GPU usage first will tell you whether the money would be better spent elsewhere.
I’d lean toward the i5-14600K if you already have 32GB of DDR4. It offers a strong upgrade from the 5600X, and keeping your current memory lowers the total cost. The Core Ultra bundle gives you a newer platform and DDR5, but you’ll still need to budget for a cooler, and the real-world gaming difference may not justify the extra expense for your current system.
The bundle is tempting because the CPU and motherboard are essentially included, so I’d mostly be paying for the DDR5. DDR5 prices are still pretty painful, though.

I’m mainly considering it because several CPU-heavy games are struggling more than I’d like, particularly games with Denuvo.
