Steam refuses to launch even though its processes remain visible in Task Manager. It does not appear on the taskbar, and there are no useful Steam-related entries in the logs. I have tried restarting the computer, reinstalling Steam, clearing its local registry entries, and launching it with options such as -no-cef-sandbox, but nothing has helped. The available dump file points to crashhandler.dll. What else can I try to get Steam to open?

Fully close every Steam-related process in Task Manager, including Steam Client WebHelper and the crash handler, then launch Steam again. If it still hangs, rename the Steam installation folders named "appcache" and "package" rather than deleting the whole installation; Steam will rebuild them on the next start. Also try launching Steam as administrator and temporarily disable overlays or security software that might be blocking crashhandler.dll. If that changes nothing, install the latest Microsoft Visual C++ redistributables and check Windows Event Viewer for the actual faulting module.
