Has anyone dealt with the Teams desktop client randomly locking users out of on-premises Active Directory throughout the day? The lockouts happen at unpredictable intervals, and security logs point to Teams as the apparent source. I'm looking for ideas on how to identify the stored credential or authentication issue causing it.

This can happen when cached Microsoft 365 credentials fail to update properly. Signing out of Teams, removing its stored credentials, and signing back in may resolve it. Revoking the user’s active sessions in Entra ID and requiring a fresh login is another worthwhile step.
Start by clearing the user’s saved credentials from Credential Manager, then have them sign in to Teams again. Stale credentials commonly cause repeated lockouts, especially after a password reset.
